Newcastle Pantomime Company is delighted to announce that actor Frazer Hines will be joining the cast of this year's Christmas pantomime at The Journal Tyne Theatre.
Frazer will perform alongside panto stalwarts Brendan Healy and Maxie & Mitch, who have kept audiences entertained with traditional family pantomime for the last ten years.
Taking on the role of Aladdin's brother, Wishy Washee, Frazer will be re-united with award-winning comedians Maxie & Mitch, with whom he last starred in pantomime twenty years ago.
Director Brendan Healy, who also stars as Aladdin's wicked Uncle Abanazar, said:
"We're thrilled that Frazer is able to join us for this year's pantomime; he is a real trouper and remembered fondly by fans of Emmerdale as "that lovely Joe Sugden." He adores panto and will make a great Wishy Washee, who is a friend to all of the kids in the audience. With Maxie & Mitch playing bumbling policemen Ping and Pong, Kevin O'Keefe as Aladdin's mum Widow Twankey, and Catherine MacCabe as the Princess, the panto promises to be a feel-good Christmas treat for the whole family."
