Thank you for all your feedback comments via our website, all of these are read and acknowledged. However as we cannot enter into correspondence on an individual basis we hope to answer any queries below.
Forthcoming Show Times
All forthcoming events at The Journal Tyne Theatre have specific opening hours and running times which can be found via the ‘Event Timing’ icon located on the left hand side of our homepage. These are listed as soon as running time confirmation has been received. Please note timings may be subject to change by either artist or management.
Meet and Greet / Special Announcements
Selected events may offer meet and greet opportunities; details of which will be on our website if available.
‘Shout Outs’ are dealt with on an individual basis via the artist’s promoter. Any requests can be forwarded in writing to The Journal Tyne Theatre and these will be passed on to the relevant persons in good faith, however we have no influence in any decision.
Birthday requests are common for selected children’s shows, if these are available there will the opportunity to leave your request with Box Office on arrival at the Theatre.
Complaints Policy
We hope you enjoy every visit to our venue and have a pleasurable experience. However on the unfortunate occasion you would like to bring a formal complaint to our attention please send all details in letter format to:

Our staff are then able to investigate your complaint further to conclude the most satisfactory outcome on an individual basis. Please include as much information as possible and seating reference where possible.
We appreciate any feedback to continue to deliver a first class service for all our valued patrons, but we cannot enter into correspondence on an individual basis via the Feedback section of the website.
Parking Facilities
We do not have designated parking facilities at The Journal Tyne Theatre. However, parking is free of charge at Metro Radio Arena to ticket-holders of events at The Theatre. Simply show your tickets on arrival and you will be admitted into the car park for free.
There is also a multistory car park to the rear of The Journal Tyne Theatre called Grainger Town Car Park. There are a number of disabled parking bays within this car park.
Venue Hire
The Journal Tyne Theatre is a Grade 1 listed building and is both beautiful and functional, with a capacity of 100 up to 1100.

Raffle Prizes
The Journal Tyne Theatre prides itself on supporting the North East and giving back to the community. We do receive numerous requests for ticket donations for raffle prizes. Please send all requests in writing on headed paper and we will endeavor where possible to be of assistance.
Ticketmaster Ticket Enquiries
If you have made a booking via Ticketmaster Website / Booking Hotline Number please telephone their customer services department on 08444 999 999 for any further assistance.
Refunds / Exchanges:
Please note, tickets cannot be exchanged or monies refunded. Refunds will only be issued upon cancellation of an event.
Ebay
Whilst re-selling tickets is not illegal or against The Journal Tyne Theatre’s ticket terms & conditions, re-selling for profit is and it is particularly upsetting and despicable when large premeditated profits are made from genuine fans.
The Journal Tyne Theatre is constantly monitoring auction sites, and has the power to void any tickets found to be selling at a profit.
We will always strongly advise all patrons to purchase from official venue box offices or ticket agents such as Ticketmaster for full protection and satisfaction.

We understand many of you feel frustrated with automated phone systems however these are in place to ensure your enquiry is dealt with in the most effective method. General Enquiries: Please telephone 0844 493 4567. This telephone is staffed during normal office hours and some evenings. Please note outside these hours help will be given as much as possible from our security team.
Ticketmaster Booking Hotline: Please telephone 0844 493 9999, if you require to speak with an operator please do not press any of the options and an operator will come on the line.
Student Packs
We aim to assist students as much as possible with their studies and research into the entertainment industry. Student packs are available on request to the Marketing Department, The Journal Tyne Theatre, Westgate Road, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 4AG
Job Vacancies
All job vacancies at our venues are advertised via our website, however part time casual positions are looked at on a regular basis for work within our food and beverage department and casual event evening staff. Please send your CV with covering letter to Personnel Department, Metro Radio Arena, Arena Way, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE4 7NA.
Box Office
On an event day the Box Office will be open until the event starts. Any ticket collects including reprints / duplicates and competition tickets can be collected from our Box Office from 2 hours prior to the show starting.
